Well this is a bit late! I started writing it Wednesday night after church but I'm still learning how to use this website and completely lost everything I wrote. Well, needless to say, I quietly closed my laptop and went to bed. haha. 2 days later I found what I started. Here ya go...
Wow! What a fun night! Erin Taylor with Go Running! shoe store came and shared with us a wealth of information about picking out the correct shoes for our feet. She told us what types of shoes are available for different types of feet. She as so entergtic and fun! She can make anyone love running. She gave out door prizes, congrats to Stephanie, Drew, Amber, and . She invited us to come to her store. They are open 10-6 Monday-Saturday. She shared that they will spend quality time with us, accessing our run, picking the proper shoe that best fits our feet. I encourage all of you, next time you are in Little Rock, swing by and check them out. They are located at 1819 North Grand St in the Heights.
Our 5K is official and ready for everyone to sign up. You can sign up either on a paper registraion form or on line at raceentry.com, via a link on facebook, or soon on Temple's website, templebaptistsearcy.org. I have created an event on facebook which has the link to make it easy for you to go straight to the registration on line. SHARE SHARE SHARE. That's probably the easiest and fastest way we can add participants to our race. The cost is $25. That includes a medal for all finishers and a race T shirt. After April 10 the price will go up to $30. There is a referral program set in place. Once you register and you get a conformation, there will be a referral link you can copy and share on any social media. For every one of your referrals that registers you will receive a $5 refund. So if you have 5 referrals sign up then yours is free! This is a great way to "reach out" in our witnessing! If you have any questions about it, please call me!
We reviewed Week 2's daily "Get in the Word". I'm not going to repeat what's in you book but I do want to reinforce the key points. "Are you someone special?" Can others look at you and know you have something special, someone special, Jesus. We should all be striving to obtain the prize set before us. We should continually be running the race (serving God) as if we are going to win because you know, we are going to win the prize, incuruptable prize... eternal life with our Lord and Savior. Live your life so you can say at the end, "I fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." What distracts you from doing what God is calling you to do? Who can help you stay on track? These are all things we need to truly think about, pray about, and have an answer.
